Practical lead generation guides

How to evaluate a price per lead

A price per lead only makes sense alongside the definition of the lead. Compare the buyer, service, market and delivery requirements before comparing two headline prices.

How to evaluate a price per lead: the questions to resolve.

Make the brief comparable

Specify the audience, service area, type of enquiry and details needed at delivery. Discuss exclusivity separately. A contact expressing general interest and an organiser asking about a specific event are different opportunities, so their quoted prices do not answer the same question.

Ask what the price includes

Establish whether setup, campaign production or media costs are included or separate. Ask about volume expectations, delivery arrangements and invalid-enquiry handling. Hello Qualified does not publish a universal lead price: the scope and commercial terms are discussed before a campaign begins.

Use your own client economics

Estimate the gross profit from won work, then compare it with the full cost of acquiring and serving that work. Use your observed sales conversion rate when available. Keep estimates clearly labelled until the campaign and sales data can replace them.

Review results at distinct stages

Track delivered enquiries, those meeting agreed criteria, conversations, proposals and won clients. If a campaign produces enquiries but few conversations, inspect follow-up and contactability as well as targeting. Each stage can reveal a different problem.
